Cardholder Agreement
This Cardholder Agreement governs the use of the Trust Wallet Card and applies from the moment the card is activated or used.
1. Card Issuance and Activation
The Trust Wallet Card is a prepaid Visa card linked to your Trust Wallet. It is issued by a partner financial institution under license from Visa and administered by DApps Platform Software Services Ltd.
Activation requires acceptance of this Agreement, the Terms of Use, and the Privacy Policy, as well as verification of wallet ownership, successful linking, and a sufficient TRX balance for network fees.
- Digital cards are valid for 3 years from the date of issue.
- Physical cards are valid until the expiry date indicated on the card.
- A replacement card may be issued automatically before expiry.
2. Card Use and Transaction Processing
Each time you use the Card, you authorize us to debit your wallet for the transaction amount and the applicable TRON network fee.
Each transaction requires a sufficient USDT balance to pay for the purchase and, generally, a sufficient TRX balance to cover on-chain fees.
- You initiate a payment using the Card or a supported mobile wallet.
- Visa authorizes the payment amount.
- The equivalent USDT amount is reserved in your wallet through interaction with a smart contract.
- USDT is converted into fiat, and the merchant is paid.
- The related TRON transaction is confirmed on the blockchain.
3. Conversion Rates, Limits, and Fees
- The conversion of USDT into fiat occurs at the time of authorization and may include a spread of up to 0.5%.
- For international transactions, additional Visa network fees of up to 1% may also apply.
- Single transaction limit: up to USD 10,000; daily limit: up to USD 25,000; monthly limit: up to USD 100,000.
- ATM cash withdrawals are available only for physical cards, generally up to USD 2,000 per day and up to USD 10,000 per month.
- Issuance of a digital card is free of charge; physical cards, reissuance, and ATM transactions may be subject to additional fees.
- The TRON network fee is typically about USD 0.10 per transaction, but may vary.
4. Rewards Program
As a cardholder, you are automatically enrolled in the Trust Wallet Gold Rewards program, subject to future changes and separate program rules.
- You earn 1 Gold Rewards point for every USD 1 spent.
- Certain qualifying transactions may also provide crypto cashback.
- Points and rewards are automatically reflected in the app and may be redeemed for supported digital assets.
- The program may be amended or terminated upon at least 30 days' notice.
5. Security, Unauthorized Use, and Reissuance
- You may freeze or unfreeze the Card at any time in the Trust Wallet app.
- If you suspect an unauthorized transaction, you generally must notify us within 60 days.
- If the claim is valid, we will investigate and generally credit the disputed amount within 10 business days.
- Your liability may be limited to USD 50 if you report within 2 business days, or up to USD 500 if you report within 60 days.
- A lost, stolen, or compromised card should be frozen and replaced immediately; digital cards can usually be reissued instantly.
6. Prohibited Use
- Illegal goods or services.
- Online gambling or betting where prohibited by law.
- Money laundering, terrorist financing, or sanctions evasion.
- Cash access other than expressly permitted ATM withdrawals for physical cards.
- Peer-to-peer transfers over card rails or any use in violation of Visa rules.
7. Suspension, Disputes, and Amendments
We may suspend or terminate the Card if there is suspected fraud, unauthorized use, a breach of this Agreement, legal requirements, or risks related to wallet security.
Disputed transactions must be reported within 60 days. A provisional credit may be provided during the investigation; verification usually takes up to 45 days, and up to 90 days for international or POS transactions.
We may amend this Agreement by giving at least 30 days' notice by email or through an in-app notification. Continued use after the effective date of the amendments constitutes acceptance of the revised version.
8. Governing Law and Contacts
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC).
